Pregnancy Care

Pregnancy itself is a risk factor for pelvic floor dysfunction. That’s why we recommend all pregnant women book an appointment —whether to take a proactive approach or to address any concerns that may already be present.

During pregnancy, we aim to help prevent and manage:

  • Urinary incontinence (bladder leakage)

  • Constipation & faecal incontinence

  • Pelvic organ prolapse

  • Abdominal muscle stretching/DRAM

  • Pelvic girdle pain

  • Sacroiliac joint (SIJ) pain

  • Hip or pubic symphysis pain

  • Back pain

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

From the third trimester, our focus shifts to:

  • Birth preparation (for both vaginal and caesarean births)

  • Perineal massage

  • Prescription and fitting of postpartum support garments

  • Postpartum recovery education
